Third places for Fisher & McHale
The Pre '90 and Post '89 Formula Ford races for the Northern FF Championship were combined for this race so Calum McHale and Steve Bracegirdle (Van Diemen RF89s) joined Josh Fisher in the Hudson-Evans Van Diemen RF99.
Qualifying saw Josh set the second fastest time while Calum was to line up ninth (2nd fastest Class C runner) with Steve 19th.
From the start Josh held second until Lap 7 when he lost a place but hung on to finish third a few hundredths behind and take fastest lap. Calum made a good start, running in 7th in the early laps but lost a couple of places on Lap 5 and then held station to come home 9th and third in Class C. This means that both Josh and Calum are leading their respective Championships with two rounds left to go.
Steve ran steadily to finish 19th and improve on his qualifying time although for some reason he was finding it difficult to get on the pace with a new set of tyres.
