First & third in Class C for Fisher & Bracegirdle

Castle Combe held one of their rare Saturday race meetings on August 8th and WPR were present with three Formula Fords and their Mini Cooper.

Practice for the Formula Ford race sw Josh Fisher take his customary Class C pole by a country mile in the Richard Hudson-Evans Reynard 89FF, qualifying an impressive 6th overall. Steve Bracegirdle and Pete Diccox were out in their Van Diemen RF89s and qualified 3rd and 4th in Class.

This is pretty much how the race results looked at the end with Josh finishing 7th overall and taking fastest lap in Class C into the bargain. However, following a good start Josh ran third on the road for the entire race running close to the two in front but all three were given track limits violation penalties which dropped them down the order.

In the Castle Combe Saloon race a large field had assembled and Steve Bracegirdle qualified the Mini Cooper in 26th and ran well in the race with his best lap showing a good improvement over his qualifying time.
