A win & fastest lap for Pete Diccox!

At the Castle Combe double header on the13th and 14th July 2013 the WPR team were present to run a single Van Diemen RF89 for long term team driver Pete Diccox who rewarded the team with a class win in Saturday and a fastest class lap on Sunday.

On the Saturday Pete qualified 16th behind a couple of Class C competitors but a good start saw him among the class front runners and a tight battle followed with Pete coming out ahead near the end. On Sunday Pete was enjoying another good battle for the lead (with Iain Houston out in Wayne Poole's Van Diemen RF88 for this race) until he dropped out on Lap 11 with a damaged engine (probably caused by overheating in the hot conditions) but not before setting the fastest class lap.
