A win and Championship lead for Wayne Poole

Wayne Poole took his own Van Diemen RF88 to Oulton Park on June 29th for another round of the Northern pre '90 Championship and came away with the win, fastest lap and lead in the Champion of Oulton Championship.

After qualifying a reasonable fourth after only five laps of practice Wayne made a fine start to take second place after the first lap which he held until hitting the front on Lap 6. It remained very tight with the first three covered by a couple of seconds and the lead frequently changing around the lap for the first half of the race. At the end Wayne's winning margin was less than a second over the fast Duthcman, Jaap Blijleven's Reynard FF88.
