Second place for Wayne Poole!

Steve Bracegirdle (Van Diemen RF89) and Wayne Poole (Van Diemen RF88) were entered for the popular Pre '90 Formula Ford race on Oulton Park's magnificent International circuit. Wayne had a good qualifying to line up third on the grid while Steve was further back in 16th.

The race went well for Wayne who was disappointed to finish only second after getting in to the lead, making a mistake, dropping down to second and then repeating it all over again! He still managed to take fastest lap but Steve was not so fortunate after being knocked off on Lap 4 damaging a wheel and tyre.
