Good results for Alex Walker and Wayne Rushworth

It was a quiet end to the Castle Combe season for Wayne Poole Racing with just a single car entered in the Formula Ford, Hot Hatch and Saloon car races.

In Formula Ford, Alex Walker was entered in the Classic Auction Review backed Van Diemen RF01 and took the second front row starting spot for both races and they both followed a similar pattern. Alex held second place behind Rory Smith to finish equal second on points in the championship but with Rory taking the place on account of more wins.

For the busy pair of Hot Hatch races Steve Bracegirdle was entered in his Mini Cooper S and finished both races 4th in Class.

Wayne Rushworth had his MG ZR 1800 going well and qualified for both races in 6th place and second in Class. Wayne's good form continued and in race one, despite dropping to eighth on Lap 1, he fought back to claim an excellent third at the end. Race two wasn't as successful with another slowish start and an incident mid race saw Wayne finish 8th at the end.
