A podium for Ben Mitchell
The WPR team arrived at the Combe June meeting with a trio of Class A Formula Fords for the two races on offer for Ben Mitchell in his familiar Classic Auction Review

Colborn in his Van Diemen RF07 and Steve Bracegirdle in a Van Diemen RF01. Sam Mitchell was present with another Richard Hudson-Evans owned car, a Class D Merlyn MK20 which was allowed to start Race 2 at the back having missed practice. Graham Cox was also on hand with his Renault Clio for the pair of Saloon Car races.
The first Formula Ford race saw Ben start fourth, take third on lap 3 and finish on the podium a couple of seconds behind the leaders. James and Steve had uneventful races to finish 12th and 17th respectively. In the second race Ben made a better start from fourth on the grid to take third which quickly became fourth where he finished. James and Steve repeated their Race 1 results with another 12th and 17th. Sam started at the back of the grid in the Merlyn but quickly moved past the back markers before pulling off on Lap 7 having already set fastest lap for the class.
In the Saloon Car races Graham finished 15th in Race 1 but reitred after 5 laps in Race 2.
