Podiums for Fisher & Bracegirdle

The TCR UK Championship meeting at Castle Combe on July 14/15 saw the WPR team contest the Combe championship Formula Ford race on the Saturday. Josh Fisher in the Richard Hudson-Evans Van Diemen JL14 qualified second a couple of tenths off pole. Steve Bracegirdle was very pleased to get into the 1m 13s, the car feeling very good after both Wayne and Josh had helped set the car up.

Josh led away from the start and held the lead for 4 laps until Luke Cooper managed to get past. However, he was unable to pull out a gap and the pair stayed tied together until the finish, just 1.6 seconds apart. Steve made a good start and diced with some Class B cars throughout the race, finishing sixth, first in Class C and with fastest Class lap.

On the Sunday Steve was out in the Mini Cooper for the Castle Combe Saloon car race, qualifying 27th and had a good race to finish 22nd.
