A difficult day at Oulton

WPR were at Oulton Park on October 14th for the Finals Raceday held on the International circuit with Calum McHale and Nathan Parton in a pair of Class C Van Diemen RF89s for a pair of Northern FF1600 races.

In Race 1 Calum qualified well in tenth place and third in Class C. A good start saw Calum up to 9th, setting the fastest Class C lap on the third tour before being involved in an incident and retiring on Lap 7. Nathan was going well in practice until the engine let go with a rod out of the side of the block and ending his week-end.

Calum was out again in Race 2 but endured a difficult race, starting near the back, dropping to the tail of the field and climbing back up to finish 19th.
