Josh Fisher was representing the Wayne Poole Racing team at Brands' familiar end of year Festival in the Kent engined class. In the team's usual Mygale SJ01 Josh came second in his heat behind Wayne Boyd after the race was ended prematurely following a safety car period. In the final, Peter Dempsey, Boyd and Robert Barrable made a break but with Fisher, Smyth and McKenna leading the chasers. Smyth went off trying to take Fisher round the outside of Paddock and shortly after Fisher and Barrable touched at Graham Hill. Keith Dempsey and McKenna managed to pass during all this and Josh was finally left with fourth place after Peter Dempsey and Boyd took themselve out near the end of the race
