On September 3rd the WPR team visited Oulton park for the pre '90 Formula Ford race with Steve Bracegirdle and Wayne Poole aboard their Van Diemen RF89 and RF88.

Both drivers were still getting used to the long international circuit but Wayne qualified a strong 7th with Steve in 22nd place. A competitive run saw Wayne finish in 5th with Steve making up plenty of places to come home 15th.

The following day saw Don Boyack out at Donington Park for the Historic Festival in his Van Diemen RF88 where he qualified 16th and finishe 17th in the Formula Ford race.
